LET IT RING
The "let it ring" technique works with the MachFive 3 "Telematic" electric guitar when it is set to "Legato" with a value of "5", but it also works with one of the MachFive 3 Jazz Stratocasters, so it is a bit selective and probably does not work the same for all VSTi virtual instruments . . .
None of the other guitar articulations work with MachFive 3, but "let it ring" works . . .
DISCO AND POP SONGS
DISCO and Pop are easy genres for me, even though electric guitar and electric bass are my primary instruments, but this started on New Year's Day in 2010 when after I had consumed huge quantities of very strong coffee and was listening to a favorite Melodic Death Metal song, "Ravenous" (Arch Enemy), at which time I started understanding some of the lyrics that the lead singer, Angela Gossow, was screaming, where primarily I liked the song because of Daniel Erlandsson's drumming and the electric guitars . . .

Prior to that, I had no idea what the lyrics for the song were, but once I started making sense of the lyrics, it became clear that Angela Gossow needed to be spanked, so I wrote a song about her underpants . . .

And then I realized that several other female vocalists needed to be spanked, although it actually is a bit of silliness to avoid being bored when I am studying Pop songs; and the DISCO aspect is secondary but also a bit silly, since for the most part Pop songs these days are not so different from DISCO songs of 1980s . . .
For example, Lady Gaga needs to be spanked for the line, "I want your everything, as long as it's free"; Britney Spears needs to be spanked for the line "'Cause you feel like paradise, and I need a vacation tonight"; and Miley Cyrus needs to be spanked for the line, "Who owns my heart: Is it love or is it art?" . . .

THE REALLY BIGGER DRUMKIT
There is a small set of chimes under the stack cymbals to the front left, but although it is not so easy to see, there are small hi-hats underneath the standard hi-hats to the left, and the way it works is that when the hi-hat pedal is pressed it plays the standard hi-hats, but when the pedal is released it plays the smaller set of hi-hats underneath, which maps to being able to play two sets of hi-hats and the tambourine on top of the standard hi-hats in one foot pedal up and down motion . . .
The Really Bigger Drumkit is very carefully designed to make it possible to play several things in one motion, where for example the large stack of cymbals to the right is angled to make it possible to play the wood block, three cymbals, and a lower cowbell, while landing on one of the tom-toms, all in one rapid motion . . .
The cymbals are inexpensive and do not sound very good the way the come from the factory, but I drill holes around the edges, perhaps 2" interior", and put metal rivets in them, which transforms them into sizzle cymbals that sound good. If it is a piece of junk cymbal, then I put rivets on it, and it sounds good . . .
And since there is so much percussion stuff located at varying distances, I use 22" drumsticks that I make from 5/8" oak dowels, so that it is easier to play stuff quickly without needing to lean or whatever, which is fabulous . . .
Fabulous!
