Hi
I was experimenting with a simple practice piece with the Classical Guitar sounds and when I came to export it to audio, either in 16 or 24 bit, there is a glitch or double note that is not there if I listen to the piece playing from the score itself. I tried exporting to Audio several times and it is always the same. There is about a 3 bar beginning that loops then plays through and on that first loop there is this kind of double note or some thing that does not belong there and is not in the score.
Does anyone ahve any advise please. I am using Notion to help teach my seld music etc.
Thanks
Mike

Re: Audio Glitch
Hi Mike,
I've experienced the same thing occasionally: When you set up a "loop" with repeat signs, Notion will sometimes "catch" the first note after the repeat before returning playback to the beginning. The only workaround I can think of is removing the repeat and instead writing out the music in measures inserted at the right place.
Your 3-bar loop would instead become a 6-bar straight through section (if you repeat it once). And you shouldn't have any glitches.
I suspect this is primarily a guitar problem, since the sample playback contains a bit of strumming. And since strumming tends to appear "before the barline," the playback engine includes it before going back to the beginning of the repeat.
Best wishes,
Thorrild

Re: Audio Glitch
Hi Thorrild
Thanks for the reply, I had pretty much came to the same conclusion, and yes you are right, the bit that it plays back incorrectly at the loop is in fact the first notes of the chord right after the repeat sign.Have Notion stopped doing any work on Notion 3 now, as there do not appear to have been any updates in a very long time? Pity if they have, because it is a pretty good product but could be that much better if they kept at it.
Thanks

We are told in no uncertain terms that Notion 4 is just around the corner. Personally I prefer that they use their energy on a major update with much-asked-for features, rather than on patching the current version to address a minor problem for which there is a workaround.
Best wishes,
