It is very interesting technique playback for this instrument and found it in notion. I like it, but i think there is bug. If i create bowed half note for marimba in 120 tempo for quarter note and long note for two bars, its different move with bow and i hear half note and long notes. This is ok, but in vibraphone the move with bow is same as in longer notes, and this is problem, because the notes are overlap in playback for long attack.
If you dont understand me, the vibraphone bowed technique playback have bug i think. Try to create same melody with bowed technique for marimba and vibraphone.

Re: bowed marimba vs vibraphone (vib. bug)
I think the root of your problem lies in the tempo you are using. I use this technique extensively (with real musicians, not just N3). In my experience, the samples in the stock library for both Marimba and Vibraphone behave exactly as the techniques should when performed (for instance, very poorly at quarter=120). Also, some samples (mostly percussion) also have a set duration regardless of -notated- note length.
