As I work through each feature of N3 (as I usually do with any new software package), I thought I'd use this thread to keep a running list of glitches and feature problems.
To start with, I've attached two files that reveal looping problems with the solo and ensemble N3 strings.
In the solo strings, the Violin cuts out almost immediately on C4 (C above middle C), the Cello's loop point is audible and obvious, and the Double Bass is almost machine-gun once it starts going into the loop.
In the ensemble strings, Violins I and II have a brief, high-pitch whistle at their loop points (you have to put your ears on and listen closely, but it's there) and the Basses get off to an uneven start (as if everyone in the section didn't start playing at the same time).
To hear this glitches, solo the each instrument and listen to them one at a time. I would like to add that it appears these looping problems are not on every note, but I didn't have time to test each and every note of each and every string instument. My theory is that if just one note is faulty, than it is the Notion engineer;s job to re-check each sample and fix it. I'll probably play with some more sustaining instruments, but meanwhile I am confident that Notion will step up to the plate on this issue without us having to do so.

Hmmm...
I don't see the files I attached. Does anyone else? Am I doing something wrong? Does this feature not work?
