Release a keyswitch

Postby Erufailon » Sun Sep 19, 2010 3:26 pm

Hi

Anyone have any idea, how to release a keyswitch through the rules? I mean I've had only luck so far, because my libraries had a keyswitch that switched back to normal default mode, so basicly I had a rule which switched that key on before every note, then switch the other keyswitches if they applied.

But now I want to write rules for the realguitar libraries, and those work by applying a keyswitch while it's being held, and if nothing is held, then it's the default open note sustained sound. However notion outputs my keyswitches like this:

So basicly whenever a keyswitch is pressed, it remains held forever. How can I release them?

Selecting an articulation by keyswitch, and having it remain in effect until a different keyswitch is activated is the normal behavior of every library I’ve ever worked with. “Release” implies a different mechanism, though I’m not at all familiar with RealGuitars.

I found that realguitar can be controlled via midi cc automation better than with keyswitches, but I'd still like to know if it's possible to do this.

A rule that allows you to hold a keyswitch (or whatever controller you need changed) until another action would be pretty darn useful now that I think about it. Feature request anyone?
