It would be super if NOTION could add automation to volume balancing when mixing.
This would help to maximize recording levels while avoiding clipping, getting closer to professional quality recording.
As it is right now too many compromises have to be made away from overall maximum volume levels.
¿Any possibility of this in a near future?
Cheers
Luis

Re: Approching mastering through mixing
This is certainly something we've discussed, but is not currently "in the works."
You can always use ReWire with any DAW and work the automation in that program. I've done it with ProTools, Logic, and Live with really good success.
Hope this helps!

Kyle, any chance that you could do a video tutorial on this?
A video on setting up a rewire session?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--QO4zk_ewE
or a video on how to automate channels in your DAW?
That would be a bit trickier given the number of DAW options on the market.

I've watched the video on Rewire and it was intriguing. I was thinking of a video on how to implement automation of mixing using the Rewire connection. An example of any DAW would be useful just to see how one can control the mix of Live driven instruments in a DAW. I work with Live and Reaper but I'd think a general approach could be adapted to any software.
