hello there,
glad my notion arrived on monday...
working with demo files, i can choose Score -> Dynamic Parts and pick the instrument i want.
but on my own score (now after 5h working on it) i recognized there is no instrument to choose.
just Score -> Dynamic Parts and there is only "default layout" (although i have typed notes for about 16 instruments...)
Can anyone help?
greetings from icy germany
Bob

Re: Problem printing dynamic parts
I never observed this.
Just to make sure: Do you have the most recent version of Notion3?

I also observed this behaviour. I may have one project file where it refuses to show the parts and the other where I can pick and choose freely. Both open at the same time. Could not figure out yet what is the difference or why it happens.

Re: Problem printing dynamic parts
Ps
The workaround would be to hide or unhide parts in the setup screen. This is however a slow method if you have many parts in a score, but it does the job at least. (just be carefull to hide and not delete!)

This has bothered me before but I have not spend time to find the sollution to this. After finding your post and replying to it I started playing around, trying many different things to try and duplicate the situation that would give rise to this problem. Up to now I only came up with one possibility.
When I start a score by importing something from a midi file I created and exported from Sonar this cisrcumstances seems to occur, i.e. I import the midi file, I select all, then I convert to Notion format and start to add parts. When I try to select the parts, it only shows the default part.
This does not seem to happen whenever I creat a file by making use of the templates.
Don't know if I actually found the root of the problem, but it seems like this could be a setting in the templates that allow part scores printing. If so, please confirm if you agree and we have to apeal to Notion to fix it (bug report or something).
I even found that a score with this problem can be fixed by creating a new file from template with all the right parts (but empty). Then I go to the guilty score, select all (ctl-A) and copy all. Go back to the new score and paste. Problem fixed in the new score. Problem is this is an obvious PITA and obviously an bug in the program if this is true.
