I've imported several MusicXML files, and Notion changed almost all beams. Now I have to make hundreds clicks with the beam tool to fix this.
Could you possibly preserve the beam configuration when importing a MusicXML file?
Could you possibly add 2 "bulk" beam operations?
1. Remove all beams for the selected part of the score.
2. Create beams for the selected part of the score, using the same rules that Notion follows for automatic beam creation.

Re: Changing beams for several notes
you may try importing through MIDI format
but my experience is that Notion has the lower hand in Importing xml, midi
many enharmonic-spelling resulted
the score end up with many sharps/flats even correct key signature is present
the easiest way may be importing through Guitar Pro
use Guitar Pro read the xml/midi
save it in gp format
then open it with Notion
so far its pretty good&correct in my experience
but it will end up all tracks are in bracket-group
and impossible to remove
