Entering Flams with drums

Hello everyone,

Has anyone had any luck or experience in doing this? I searched the forums for flams and grace notes. Found a couple of hits but the techniques didn't seem to work for the drum set instrument, or I am just doing something wrong. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

I just played with the snare. You can enter a note, and then from the snare tech. Button, apply Flam. This will give you a flam on playback, but it puts the word Flam above each instance. Not great.

I also tried entering a grace note, then an eight note. That was better.

So are you using the snare as a separate instrument or the snare on the drum set?

I got it, thank you. I figured it out using both the drum set and the snare as an individual instrument. I really appreciate it. I didn't realize you needed to do the grace note first.
