Just open the VSL Directory Manager. Click the button in the lower right that says "Custom Folder" and you'll see where it is.

Still no "specific techniques" in the relevant tab in N4 with VSL SE...

Yes, that's a different issue. Until it's fixed, you can use Express Entry. Type ' and then the technique you want.

Example: 'pizz

I have submitted a ticket to get the palette for the new Special Edition Techniques to show up in the palette.

As a workaround for the time being, all of these techniques are easily found by taking the following steps:

1. Press the Single Quote (') key
2. Begin typing the name of the technique you want to use.

For example:

If you want to add pizzicato to a string part, Type: 'pizz
Pizzicato will show up in your cursor. This works for almost all techniques ie., pizz, arco, hammer-ons, pull-offs, fret-noise, harmon, straight, hard mallets, soft mallets, mutes, roll all, vibrato, and more. For a list of "Express Entry" technique changes, see p. 6.14 of the Help Manual.

Give it a try, I really enjoy using this functionality, and I rarely refer to the palette for anything.

Great ! yes ! Of course ? Why bother about all of that ?
Why bother about palette for VSL Special Edition 1-4 ?
64 and 32 bit vst working ?
mordents, turns, cross over beams, ties over repeat signs, nested tuplets... ?
improvement of midi control ?
way to not print dynamic parts one by one...
way to not import waves of individuals parts one by one...
...

Why bother about using all this functionality's ? Who need them ?

You misunderstand my point. I am getting this worked on to resolve matters of the Palette. I didn't say "Why bother?".

My point was simply, as with most software, there are usually two or three ways of doing things. I am offering to all users the ability to workaround until the functionality is fixed. For those who love to use the Palette, it will be back for these new presets. But, in the meantime, if you want to learn to use a new feature that works very well and quickly, and as designed 3 years ago, this substitue method will work, and I stress, quite nicely.

I hate using a mouse for anything, and anytime I can use a Keyboard Shortcut instead, I will find it because it is faster and less clumsy. The express entry tools are one of my favorites because it gets you out of the palette, which I find cumbersome. So, I just thought I would let users know that it still exists and that it is very useful.

Question about VSL individual download instruments.

I downloaded some individuals instruments before the release of VSL special edition 1-4 (Heckelphone, Contrabass Clarinet, Trumpet in Bb, Euphonium, Fanfare Trumpets, Epic Horns...), these downloads are now part of these new VSL SE 1-4 but seem i can't use them in Notion Score Setup (they don't load).

Is a way to fix that or is this only work with complete VSL SE 1-4 ?
