newbie and lot of questions

Postby Hicks » Thu Dec 08, 2011 10:31 am

Hi Guy,

I have downloaded the trial version and Notion seems awesome!!!

However, I have a couple of questions before got divorced with Finale and Logic. So please help me:

1) I am using an AKAI MPD32 Contrôler. Is it possible to enable MMC messages in Notion so I could link my Controler Transport to Notion Transport?

2)It seems that there is no way to draw controler curves but in record mode. So If I am playing my velocities with CC1 and I am 95% happy with it. I am not able to change manually the 5% remaining? Ok, I can erase the bar and record again only this given one. But it would have been so much easier to be able to draw CC curves. Tell me I'm wrong.

3)When I am using a patch with a run written in it. For example VSL violin run. I play a G on my keyboard and an whole G major run is played through speakers. But on my staff I can only see the G note alone. Is it possible to enter some notes unrelated to midi data.
For example, with a simple example: the run is G A B C in sixteenth notes. On my staff, instead I will get a G quarter note. So what I would like to do is to write G A B C in sixteenth notes in the staff, but tell Notion to play only the G nad make A B and C as ghost notes (or non midi notes). Is it possible? Because I don't want to make 2 scores (one for mock up and one for orchestra).

Thanks a lot for your help.
