new update not working

Postby joe1hundred » Fri May 28, 2010 1:58 pm

Hello

The new 3.1 update is not working for me. When I try to 'install and relaunch', i get an error message and it says try again later. Every time i try again, the update download takes up more space on my hard drive! My questions are:

Where are these update downloads going so I can delete them?
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall to solve the issue?
How do I uninstall if need be?

Thanks!

JOE!!! Whats happenin!!

A few questions:
- What OS are you running?
- What update (version) are you running?

I'm sure we can work this out....OR if you'd like to give Brian in tech support a call I'm sure he can walk you though it.

Great to hear from you!

Hey!

Ok i have a Macbook running 1.5.8
Notion is at 3.0.239
updating to 3.1

Things to know: The first time when i got to the 'install and relaunch' part of the update, it seemed to freeze. I quit notion, and the dock icon changed to a generic app icon. it's possible i was not patient enough and i fouled the update by quitting before it finished.

I have another question:

I deleted N2 to make room. I still have all the expansion sounds on a hard drive. How do I set things up so that I can playback older N2 files in N3 and have them use the old sounds?

Thanks so much!

Joe,

Try this....go to the updates page here:
http://www.notionmusic.com/support/downloads.html

download the mac dmg for 266. Replace the app from the dmg with the N3 in your applications folder.

This should fix the update issue.

Let me know if this works.....
