iRig - Notion for iPad - no input ????

I'm brand new to Notion for iPad. I have an iRig Pro, but can't get it to work with Notion on my iPad - no entry happens when connected and recording. I must be doing something wrong. Can someone help me?

What MIDI controller are you using with the iRig?
