Continuous Controllers are a type of MIDI message (0-127). In the case of WordBuilder, that particular message is used to reset what words are being sung to the beginning.

Bill, you said that "Notion lacks an easy way", does that mean it is possible, it's just a nuisance?

I'm a little excited, but I'd love to try the WordBuilder with a choir...

Posible by playing it in on a sequencer staff connected to the same VSTi output channel as the vocal line you want to control.

Update:

It appears that the new version of Play 4.0.23 has fixed the patch loading issues the EWQL users have been experiencing when using the presets in Notion. Please give these a go. If you are still having difficulty please let us know. We would like to get to the bottom of this issue.

Just purchased Notion 4 have the latest update.

Just updated my Play 64 to latest update.

Attempt to load the EWQL Foll Orchestra either standard or lite..

NONE of the woodwinds play , all other sections play and trigger from the on screen keyboard or external midi .

The mixer section looks normal

The Ork does load and play fine from Notions sound bank

Are you getting error messages during loading?

Since EWQL support is crucial to my interest in buying Notion - any news on (the disappearance of) these problems?

Hello, metallissimus
I have not had any issues with the EWQL Play interface plugin.
"Play version 4.1.0" has worked for me without errors.

I have used both EWQL Symphony Orchestra Platinum and EWQL Choir now since approx. 11-2013.
The software sale at the time _ I could not pass-up.
I must say the East\West libraries have worked on my system flawlessly.

I use (2) separate SSD "Solid State Hard Drives".
One for the system drive and the other for my sound libraries. I use additional external HD's for audio recording /video data etc.

As far as performance and stability it is very good even with only 8Gb Ram and a 2.53 Ghz. Duo CPU using Windows 7/64.
(I'll get a new computer sooner or later. This works pretty good right now).
I spent the money on software at this time.

The "Platinum" version of EWQLSO uses multiple microphone samples (Close, Stage and Surround) so adding reverb and other FX aren't needed until maybe later in post-production phases of my projects. This obviously reduces the processor load quite a bit and the SSD's stream the sample data more than fast enough for this library.
I use to dream of using a RAM disk but that really is not realist for now.

To me the best part about the EWQLSO library is that "Notion Software Inc." created the rules document
"EWQL_Platinum.prules"
which makes using the "Platinum" library very easy within Notion 4.
No need to search the sound library for the correct samples, instruments, techniques and nuances.
_ Notion plays back the notation articulations and techniques quite well I think. I may try and refine the prules in the future; yet, they're really pretty good as is now.

So, "metallissimus" _The EWQLSO library even though maybe old 2008?-09? works great with Notion 4 64Bit on my PC.
Other sound libraries may be newer and more refined, however, as an introductory symphony sound library with a history of professional use in the industry this was a no-brainer for me at the "sale!" price.

, Johnny

P.s. Thanks Notion Software Inc. for your great software and the East\West "prules" you included in Notion 4.
They work great for me.

metallissimus,
_ I see that EWQLSO is on sale again.

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/QLSOPlatC/

This is a great price I think. The preset templates and ".prules" in Notion 4 makes it a dream to work with.

Also Notion 4 and it's Expansion Sounds are 50% off at this time.

I'm quite happy with Notion and can't wait for ver. 5.
People that have heard my sound system comment on how realistic the East/West sounds are.
A SSD is strongly recommended.
