Hello
I have been struggling with midi keyboard to enter notes on the score.
I chose my midi keyboard in input port on the midi menu of preference.
Then chose note value and tried to type in notes in the score with midi keyboard, but didn't work.
Is there anything I should know? I'm not talking about real time recording but sort of step time input with midi keyboard.. just like that in the Sibelius.
Please help!
Thank you~

Re: Entering notes with midi keyboard
Have you had any success get a midi keyboard to enter notes in your score. I would like to be able to do this in step time and real time recording. It very frustrating. I'm trying to use an M-Audio Oxygen25 keyboard. It never gave me any trouble with encore but I can't get any usable results with Notion 4. I would also like to be able to use my Yamaha WX5 wind controller to enter notes. Any ideas?

Re: Entering notes with midi keyboard
It seems that you have not placed Notion into either Step Entry Mode or MIDI Record Mode.
To get into Step-Entry:
1. Select the staff that you would like to enter notes into.
2. Press "Command Mac (Control PC) + E" or Click the Steps Icon in the Transport at the top of the program window.
3. Choose your note durations and then play the note or chords that you would like to enter into the score.
To get into MIDI Record:
1. Select the staff that you would like to enter notes into.
2. Press "Command Mac (Control PC) + R" or Click the Red Record button on the Transport at the top of the program window.
3. Press Space Bar to begin Recording.
There are many settings for MIDI recording that you can change or set after you get into the mode. You will see the MIDI Record dropdown appear after you have entered the mode. Play around with it and have fun.
