Waltz in Blackhttps://soundcloud.com/john-freese/waltz-in-blackWho says the waltz is dead? Grab your partner and go for a spin.
Any feedback is much appreciated as this is my first waltz. Ideas on how to make the orchestration sexier?
Written in N4.

It's a lovely waltz, but not so much a "take your partner for a spin" type waltz.
Typically, that type of waltz is more vivacious, more upbeat.
This is slower, more somber, but quite lovely.
How did you do it? Just with Notion, or did you use other software as well?

Very nice. I agree with the other comment, it's not really danceable; which is fine, it's a compelling piece. But since it's not danceable, I think it could use more air in some of the passages towards the end. I almost want to feel more "white space" as Japanese Sumi-e painters say. It's very dense and maybe some passages could be a foil to the density. But it's really very impressive overall.

Thanks for the feedback guys. You're right about the dancability(word?). And good thinking about the air at the end, could use more variety in texture.
saint-completely written in N4 but using VST's.
