Orchestral piece in memory of a friend

I haven't posted for a while, but am again composing. I just uploaded a file to SoundCloud directly from Notion 3. That process wasn't working last week but it works now. (File/Export/Audio, check the SoundCloud box).

It's a piece I wrote in memory of a friend. It's for orchestra, using Notion 3. I'm still learning orchestration (aren't we all?) and would appreciate any comments on the piece and/or orchestration - esp. any granular comments (about registers, relative volume, etc.) I do have a hearing loss at one particular frequency so I am undoubtedly hearing it differently than those without that small hearing "hole".

IT seems that the link doesn't work. I can see no tracks in your soundcloud profile.

The link should work now. My bad - first time using SoundCloud.

Thanks for pointing this out.

A grand effort - I think your friend would be pleased.

That said, I'll have to admit that I am perhaps the last person to comment on this as I'm not a fat of atonality. But I did find myself wondering if atonal was what you had in mind. That's a decision you'll have to make.
