Help with empty space at the end of some bars

I just got this app yesterday.
I have a score where I get large empty spaces at the end of a bar, the preceding bar has no Barling at the end. It happened as I was trying to delete a section to add repeats. There's a image attached. If I fill with rests, I get a small diamond shape in each staff.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
