Difference between Delete & Clear on Selection Tool

Difference between Delete & Clear on Selection Tool

Postby tomasorti » Mon Jun 10, 2013 8:29 am

Hi.
When I use the Selection Tool over a group of notes, I can see Cut/Copy/Paste, Delete, Clear, Transpose, etc...
Which is the difference between Delete & Clear?

Regards,
Tom.

I can't find any difference. But that doesn't mean there isn't something under the hood. Or, maybe it's something that's a carryover from the desktop version, but not active in this one. There was something else like that, as I recall.

if you want to delete whole measures and notes use 'delete' This reduces the number of bars in your piece.

However if you want to delete just NOTES 'inside a bar(s)' use clear. This does not affect the number of bars...just notes.
