How to create tuplet

How can I create tuplets?

I have tried selecting 3 notes, then going to the note entry button, and, at the options that appear there, select the one that seems to be to create tuplets, then on the window that appears, I select: fit 3 into 1, but doesn't seem to change anything.

At the help information on the ipad app, it says that one needs to set the Tuplets option to ON on the settings but can't find that option.

Set the tuplet option to ON before you enter the notes, and make it 3 into 2, not 3 into 1. That is, if you are entering commonly used tuplets, like three eighth notes in the time of two.

If you try to highlight three regular eighths and then turn them into a tuplet, it doesn't work, for some reason.
