We submitted a new update of Notion and Progression iPad apps to Apple a few days ago. We expect Apple will have it approved in the next week or two. This build fixes several bugs that recently appeared with entry, solved the "select" issues, you will be able to save/export audio, you will have the first steps in our MIDI implementation with being able to connect a device and use step-time entry, and a ton of other things.
Next up...real-time MIDI record/perform, retina graphics, panning, printing from app, more measures per staff options...and much much more. You will see several major product changing updates over the next two months.

Re: Notion for iPad Update Coming Soon
hi, thanks, its down on my pad.
so, i'm not verry good at technical problems..where, please, do i find my exported audio??
iTunes->Apps->File Sharing
i just do not get it, sorry
and somehow i seem to have lost the "Tom in C" after the last update (the one before this one).....it's not there anymore where it should be, meaning, in the instruments folder and of corse it does not work anymore in the set where i've put it??
could you help?
so, things are after all looking good.
minor problems are here to be solved.....

I was wondering if you can give an indication of when the update with "real-time MIDI record/perform" will be available? That would really get me to buy your app.

Re: Notion for iPad Update Coming Soon
The recent changes are wonderful.
I use Finale to create MusicXML files for songs my choirs are singing, and then I export that to Notion on the iPad.
I can then share that notion file with my students that have Notion (auto-accompaniment) or generate audio files with notion's wonderful sounds on the iPad.
It's actually easier to create audio files on the iPad than it is with Finale on my MacBook. Seriously.
The only thing I'm really missing from Notion is swung playback (or swung regions) for songs that are meant to use swun rhythm--I'm not sure that made it in the last release.
Keep up the great work.
(Side note: Symphony Pro seems to have disappeared without a trace).
