I cannot enter notation for cymbals, bass drum, snare drum....all I get are blank and unresponsive drum pads. It worked when I first got the app, but no longer.....maybe I am missing or forgetting something?

Note, I can enter drum kit and timpani notation. And tambourine.

I just made a test file (Drum set, Susp. Cym., Timp.) and entered some notes:

All is well for the Drum Set staff, and for the Timpani staff, but for the Susp. Cymbal staff, I get the same result: Nothing. The drum pads do not respond, and there doesn't seem to be an alternate way of entering notes onto that staff. I'll send an email to tech support and see if they can help (or confirm the bug).
