I can't get Selection to work. I have to hit the blue Select button 5-6 times in order to get the current note selected with the blue handles. Then I can drag a handle, but as soon I release the handle, the selection tool disappears and it reverts back to the green cursor. Your advise would be greatly appreciated.

Once you press the select button in the palette, you should get a little blue bar where your cursor was. You can then drag the dot at the bottom as long as you would like to to highlight your notation.
