This doesn't seem to be possible on the iPad; only in the desktop version of Notion.

There is some way to do it. Just take a look at the Concert for horn in Eb major by Mozart that comes with Notion... Moderator? Company? Anyone, please?

Marcos,
As I wrote before, the desktop version of Notion allows you to do this, in addition to many other things that can't be created within the iPad app. Some examples, just from the top of my head:
- Move dynamics vertically
- Hide musical elements (dynamics, articulations, slurs, tempo indications, fermatas, etc., etc.)
- Change instrument on the same staff
- Change the font, size, style of text elements
- Parts extraction
- Multimeasure rests in parts
- A variety of options to add headers, footers, page numbers & such
- View score as pages, or as a continuous scroll showing more than just 2 bars
- Adjust display size on screen and on paper
- Force measures to start new page, new system, or link to other measures
The list goes on. Suffice it to say that pickup measures is one small item on a long list of features that couldn't be fit into the app version of Notion. It is safe to assume that for each missing feature there is at least one user who thinks that this was the one they should have included.
The sample file you refer to was probably created with Notion 3 and then ported to the iPad. It must be an unfortunate oversight that it has a pickup measure. At least it serves as an illustration of the iPad app's ability to deal with the display and playback even of elements it can't create.
Best,
Thorrild

Hello,
This is Brian from NOTION Music Technical Support. I have to agree on this one. Pickup measures are currently only supported in the desktop version of NOTION, NOTION3.
Best Regards,
Brian

Of the acknowledgedly short and "top of the head" list Thorrid provides, pretty much all would be more "features of scoring software" than "basic elements of music." It would be "nice" to be able to change type faces or add headers and the like, but those aren't intrinsic to the music.
A pickup measure is one of those things we learn in the first few days of learning music. It's as basic as time signatures and tempo markings. I wouldn't call this a "feature" like part extraction (which would be totally unnecessary on the iPad).
I look forward to the version where this is corrected.

Hi.
Is the anacrusis feature present in the last iPad release?
I also think it is a really basic feature to be in the iPad version.
If not, anyone from Notion can confirm if it will be present sometime soon?
Thanks,
Tom.

Hi.
Is the anacrusis feature present in the last iPad release?
I went through the last release logs 1.2.49, but did not find about it.
I also think it is a really basic feature to be in the iPad version.
Can anyone from Notion confirm if it will be present sometime soon?
Thanks,
Tom.
