We have read here that the Notion app works just fine on the new iPad, except for the obvious lack of graphics for the new hi-res display. But what about playback? Has anyone taken the time to make an A/B comparison between iPad 2 and 3?

Assuming that I am not the only user who is scrambling to find an excuse to justify the purchase of a new iPad, it would be helpful if someone (maybe even the Admin?) can say what we can expect in this regard. Is the limit of "14 to 16 simultaneous sounds" higher when you use a tablet with twice as much RAM? Can you get, say, 28 to 32 sounds?

We have some of the new iPads, but haven't been able to do testing as far as performance yet.

If you can make a test file I'll gladly try it on my iPad v3. I can capture the audio playback if you like. Note though: I don't currently have any of the additional instrument packs, just what the app is supplied with as bought.

I'm really very unimpressed that the company has so neglected a question such as this. I really feel they should offer more input to this forum, especially as the user base seems not to be able to answer many of the other users' questions.

Here is what you are looking for:

   iPad 1: 16 instruments
   iPad 2: 20 Instruments
   iPad 3: 24-30 instruments

Keep in mind, these are not exact but are close enough to keep in mind while composing.
