Wrong input notes help plz!

I recently dled this app and when I try and input any note it plays a note that is 4 half steps down on the piano. I'm assuming c3 is middle c here so when I play a g sharp it plays an e natural. Also when I try and change key signature, it just doesnt work and doesn't do anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Is the staff set up to be a transposing instrument? to check that, tap the Gear icon at the bottom of the screen and then tap the blue circle with white > in it at the right edge of that instrument's listing and you get to the screen where the transposition is set up. It should be C and Same Octave for a piano part. It might be set to be E -- I just tested it and can get the same input error -- play a G# and it shows up as an E. I hope this helps.
