Plans for external MIDI support?

Are there any plans to supports external MIDI devices such as the upcoming Akai Synthstation
http://www.akaipro.com/synthstation49 or the Alesis IO Dock http://www.alesis.com/iodock or other MIDI interfaces for the iPad such as the iRIG http://www.ikmultimedia.com/irigmidi/features/ or Line6 Mobilizers http://line6.com/mobile#midimobilizer.
Using an external keyboard could greatly enhance note input.

I'm using Notion app on the new iPad and I am very impressed by the stability of the app and the quality of the samples.

The word from Notion (posted elsewhere in this forum) is that a new version of the full desktop application is next on the list, and that the iPad app will receive an update sometime after that.
