Hello and question about removing spare measures

Hello. I've recently started using Notion. It's a great app and after a little bit of playing around and occasionally reading the help I'm really beginning to get the hang of it. Particular thanks to the poster on another thread who explains very well how to cut and paste.

My question... I have two spare measures at the end of a piece I've written and can't get rid of them. I've tried selecting them and then hitting delete (and I've tried cut and clear as well) but they won't go. Any ideas?

Doesn't sound correct to me, I have managed to delete empty bars by selecting them and deleting.
