Reverse Engineering Someone Somewhere (In Summertime)

Hi folks,
I have started learning the electrical guitar and bass a couple of months ago.
My current obsession of the last weeks is to find out how to play a nice song from Scottish band Simple Minds:
Someone Somewhere (In Summertime)
It features a nice guitar intro and I like its bass line.
Some folks on YouTube have managed this before me, so why don't I, I said to myself.
I tried several methods so far and came at least that close to be able to get the bass line right.
One of the tools I used and still use to explore the song is Progression for iPad.
It turned out to be very helpful to a musical newbie like me - thanks a lot, Notion Music!
I documented my attempts in my first ever video:

An update will follow in the next couple of days - thanks to the holidays...
