MIDI Pitch

MIDI Pitch

Postby wcreed51 » Thu Aug 22, 2013 2:29 pm

I realize I'm just being lazy, but wonder if anyone's made a list to translate notes (C#2) to MIDI-pitch(xxx).

MIDI Pitch 0 seems to be an octave below C0. VSL call that C~.

In my experience, pitch names are not etched in stone. Sometimes pitch #60 (middle C) is called C3, sometimes C4. Maybe VSL is using yet another scale especially favored by Austrians? :)

Best,
Thorrild

Yes, it's one of those things you'd think there'd be no double about. And yet there is.

But, I'm finding my way. The virtual keyboard in the VI player show what's actually being sent, so I can make adjustments as needed.

Thanks!
