Is it possible to create rules for the default Notion instruments?

I don't think so; at least, not that I've found.

You are allowed to tweak everything has a parameter into it (eg trill speed, soft start amount, response to dynamics).
Don't know if you can create a new one from scratch.

Thanks! but how do you do that? Where do go to tweak these parameters like trill speed and dynamic response?

You create a custom rules file or use an existing one? Do you use a Plug-in identifier number for Notion3?

Open file *rules_notion3.pdef* ( if you are on mac you can find it inside the application package, then Contents / Resources / Rules).
It's a huge one, so is bettere to use a xml editor to keep it formatted and more legible. This way you can also perform a *find* command to locate where the *trill* line is. I'm not sure you can alter trill speed for Notion instruments because the rule triggers a sample with the trill embedded in.
Instead, a VST-rule is driven by midi, so you can alter its speed and time.
Honestly, looking at *rules_notion3.pdef* side by side while writing this reply I see you can't edit much of it...
Sorry. I was wrong.
