hello dudes,

i already bought miroslav ph. and garritan p.o. to notion 3 but im not 100% happy with them, especially brass.
im thinking about purchasing ewql orchestra, very nice special offers today (http://www.soundsonline-europe.com/Symphonic-Orchestra/), can anyone confirm that notion 3 is compatible with Symphonic Orchestra Gold Complete Standard?
or even with a cheaper version?
i already downloaded some kind of free play edition they offerd for few days about 3/4 year ago, but the instruments dont appear in my notion 3 setup.

I assume you are talking about the "Buy One Get One Free" promotion? From what it looks like to me, at least on the U.S. site, you cannot order the Gold Symphonic Orchestra to qualify for the free item. It only offers the Silver as the "Buy One."

I decided to go for it, even though I only write chamber music. Had been thinking of getting the VSL winds and brass, but figured I'd try this at such a great price.

anyones knows about compatibility?

I am now VERY curious about compatibility too. $195 for EWQL SO Gold is a very, very good price, just $45 more than GPO4's standard price. I would love to hear opinions on just how much better this product is than GPO, especially for someone like me who does not have great keyboard skills. It's my understanding it takes a LOT of skill to get GPO to sound good.

Well, the Notion 3 User Guide mentions among its presets for libraries one for EWQL SO Platinum. Don't know if that means it will work fine with Gold.

It should be the same. This difference is more mic posistions and 24bit vs 16 bit
