Big change in VSL dynamics after updating SLE

I am working on a piece that evolves from pp to fff in about 60 bars. Before the recent version update of SLE, everything worked alright, but now the difference in volume across the piece is huge. I can barely hear the pp passages, but must turn down the volume of my monitors at fff as the sound gets really friggin' loud.

I know that you can tweak the dynamics in the prules files, and through other workarounds as Mr. Astinov explains in:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=844

but can we ask for an easier way to adjust how dynamic indications translate to midi?
