New to Notion questions

Postby hendrixchord » Sun May 09, 2010 4:13 pm

Hi

Awesome program. I am a guitar player so I have noticed some very useful guitartistic features!

Couple questions

How do you change the color of the sheet music? I know in sibelius you can change the color/texture
to white-yellow and whatever?

Is there a way to input notes with the fretboard and have it go to the next note?
Guitar pro allows you to right click and add notes to the right automatically instead
of moving the cursor over the next note area.

example- right click a quarter note or whatever and the next time you click a note in it goes in on the next
part of the bar. also.. can you draw on notes by holding down the click?

another question please.

I am trying to add some notes to a bar and I want one note to be a whole note and other notes in the same chord
to ring out less with quarter notes. but when I switch the top note to and quarter it changes both notes to quarter.

Notion does not provide a "paper" option.

About simultaneous notes of different durations, currently, I'm pretty sure the only way to achieve this is to create multiple parts (see multi-voice entry 8.15). It is not a perfect sol'n.

To enter different values into same chord you must assign each note to a different voice.
Hope it helps

in Preferences > Themes you can choose between Default, Perfromance Black and White.
First and third doesn't look that different on my screen.
Black is provided for stage purposes.
