Hello all!
I've been really enjoying some Afro Beat lately and figured I'd come up with some patterns in NOTION to share with you. Similar to the Drum Library included in the program you can cut and paste these patterns to the piece you're working on.
Enjoy!

Re: Afro Beat Patterns
Kyle,
Thanks so much for the handy (and handsome) drum patterns. Any info on how they might be added to the Drum Patterns submenu?
Best,
Thorrild

On a Mac:
-Right click on N3 in your applications folder
-Select "Show Package Contents"
-Navigate to the "DrumLibrary" folder (Contents>Resources>DrumLibrary)
-Copy the "afrobeat" file I've posted in this folder
On a PC:
-Navigate to the Drum Library" folder (Program Files>NOTION3>Support>DrumLibrary)
-Copy the file in this folder
This should work for any drum pattern files you want to load in this menu.
Be careful on a Mac when you get an update. This folder will be overwritten when you update on a Mac, so keep the .notion file somewhere else on your machine so that you can replace it when you perform an update.
I'll try to get a bit more regular about this and get you all more drum patterns to add to the library!

Re: Afro Beat Patterns
Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I created a sticky for the "Beat of the Week" that will contain weekly drum pattern files.
This week is a tribute to James Brown

Enjoy!
