Luis,

This is very strange, we have not seen what you are describing in our testing or with the beta group. Can you elaborate more - are you using N3 or SLE, what OS are you running and do you not see "any" instruments when you enter score setup?

What about the Palette - can you go to View-Show and make sure the Palette is set to Show Pallete. Does it pop out then?

Hi Lubo,
I use N3 under Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Also noticed that the screen layout does not fit into the size of the monitor as before (I have a dual monitor setup in portrait mode).
Since seems that is not a common problem I shall continue investigating.
Thanks
Luis

Hi Luis, I'm also using Win7 Ultimate x64 here, but my displays are both in landscape. I'll try rotating them and see what it does...

Definetely it is a bug related to Windows Font Size and Norion metrics.

When I configure the font size to 100% all the screen is visible and then the palette and instruments shows correctly.

But in higher resolutions, the 100% size is unreadable so it has to be increased to 120-150% and then, the metrics of the Notion 3 are much bigger that the actual screen and those menus fall outside the visible area and no chance to view them throug scroll bar moving.

Surely there has been some bug while in the api: GetSystemMetrics() function while choosing the actual font size rather that the one derived from display resolution.

Is there any posiblity to roll back to previous version ?

Luis,

We will have a fix out ASAP. Probably faster than its worth downgrading. We currently don't have archived builds posted, unfortunately.

Hi Lubo

I had similar issues this morning -- even sending a file in to have it looked via e-mail. After reading this post I reset my monitor from125% to 100 % and all of my display issues went away also. Everything displays as it should. I really want to run it at 125% is possible (22' flat screen) so a fix would be nice sometime if possible. You guys have responded fast all morning, so thanks. I still have one issue, but that is supposed to fixed later in the week!

Thanks,

Bird Tune

Check the size of your screen. I had mine set to 125% before the update. But after the update I had several display issues, including the palette one. I reset the size of my screen to 100% and N3 now displays like it should. I am using a 22 screen, btw. Hope this helps.

Not all the Notion 2 sounds are showing like 12-string guitar for instance.
