What started me looking for VSTs was a need for an EQ. I've found one that: sounds good, works well, looks swell.
DMG Audio EQuality.

I may sound like a broken record, but I'm still having issues with JBridge and GPO4/Aria. I've been able to use JBridge with Miroslav, but I haven't been able to get JBridge to work with Aria. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a fix?

You might try asking in the Garritan section of the Northern Sounds forum:

I would, but the JBridged-Aria plugin works in my DAW (Reaper). I'm no programmer, but I don't think it's an issue with Aria. I've been emailing the JBridge programmer recently to see if there is a work around; I'll edit this post if a work-around/fix is found.

Also, I've been able to get TruePianos to work with Notion as a VSTi (I saw in an earlier post that someone reported it as "not-working" with Notion).

Mmh... "TruePianos"... Sounds interesting...
Not a popular VST, isn't it?

TruePianos is the best piano VST I have ever used. The sound quality isn't quite as good as some of the most expensive piano samplers, but the playability is beyond real. In a mix you can't tell the difference.

It is a great compromise between playability and sound. I continue to be frustrated using samplers as there just seems to be something wrong with the playability. It just doesn't feel real to me. I'm using a Quad Core processor with 2.7ms delay and it still seems to lag in response to me. TruePianos has no lag what so ever. Also check Youtube - Dave Rich does a video demo of it - which really shows it off.

I believe they have a demo at www.truepianos.com - check it out.

Notion - I hope you are still working on fixing the problems with the VST's and Notion. Please! Are you making any progress?

Works:
XLN Addictive Drums
PushTec (free EQ, give it a go, works great)
Spectrasonics Omnisphere
Spectrasonics StylusRMX

Doesn't work:
Toontrack EZDrummer - the plugin loads, the sampler starts, you can see the ezdrummer but the sound samples do not load. Anybody managed to get it to work?
