A Forum to Discuss NOTION

Ties

Postby FX1 » Fri Feb 26, 2010 1:57 am

Maybe this has been addressed but I can't find it in the forum.

Hope I can explain this one...Last measure before a repeat has a tied dotted half note, tied to a quarter note in both repeat endings. I can't find any way to show the tie carrying forward to the quarter note in each set of endings.

Any way to show this?

It looks like there may be some tie glitches here. I haven't tried to add ties with different endings yet, but I also have issues when I try to apply a tie to any voice that isn't voice 1. For example, in the attached files, I try to tie two Ds together.

However, no moatter which voice I toggle it uses a tie on voice one instead of voice two.

Thoughts anyone?

So I just submitted a bug report; in my report I said the issue happend all the time. I have gotten the ties to work as expected here and there, but I haven't been able to find a pattern as to when the ties are applied to the correct voice and when they do not.

Work around is:

enter notes voice 2 first
enter the tie on voice 2
enter notes voice 1
enter the ties for voice 1

It is a bug, but....
