Kontakt 5 dynamics

Postby Rubens » Mon Jun 09, 2014 9:16 am

Hi someone could help how to configure Kontakt 5 to make it obey the dynamics written in the parts? There is a way?

Hi Rubens-

It's really dependent on the Kontakt patch. Some are set to respond to the mod wheel for for volume, some to velocity, and still others to CC11 (which off the top of my head I think is "expression").

Also, you may need to create Group Rules to make things a bit easier to handle in the score (although they can be a bit complicated, there's several pinned posts that deal with Group Rules that should help).

Which library are you using that isn't responding as expected?

Hmmm - couldn't find a manual online for that, but according to a screenshot I saw of it, you can set how the volume is controlled.

By default, if I'm interpreting the screenshot correctly, it's CC1 (mod wheel). It looks like there are additional settings options, but I couldn't say what they were.

Typically, it's a few different CCs and another option or two. I'd try fiddling with one of those options...
