Divisi Split Pizz/Arco?

It appears that there is no way to assign pizz to one divisi group and arco to another on the same staff. This would seem to be a pretty straightforward thing. Have I missed something?

IdiotSavant...

It is possible using Notion's library!

So if you work with VSTi you must have a look on Notion Help page 9.11 about Add a Muti-Channel track.

Here a simple example:

Violin and Clarinet on the same staff...
Could be 2 violin or two section ...

You must figure what you can do.

Lets try... Best

Gents, thanks. This is not quite what I was looking for. I know I can assign any instrument to any voice. But I change from arco to pizzicato using Notion's pizz notation (or arco notation to change back) (see Help p. 1.13). This automates the technique change (this works with Notion instruments as well as VSL presets for Notion), and I don't have to create a separate instrument for pizzicato vs. arco.

It appears that all the voices on a staff in Notion can only be pizz or arco. You can't assign a combination of pizz and arco to different voices.

To me this is a shortcoming of the program.

I guess a workaround might be to create separate instruments that play only pizz or arco, but that would defeat the purpose of the notation change, and require twice as many instruments in my VE ensemble.
