Re: how to change volume of a long-held note?
You have to place the hairpin between two dynamic markings.

You also sometimes have to place the dynamic marking and the hairpin both above and below the staff. This is a quirk of the program seemingly. I haven't figured out when or why this is required.

Yes. The ending dynamics (ppp) must be linked to the hairpin.
Redraw it making it closer to the sign.

You'll need at least minimal custom rules to have you Kontakt library respond to dynamics...

First, go to the main Notion site, then Support/Downloads/Other. Download the Notion 4 Custom Rules Documentation, and become familiar with the mechanics of setting up a prules file. You'll want to use a GroupID, not a PluginID.

its indeed complicated
would you mind to give a rule file as an example
i got my kontakt as NiK3 by pressing shift-I
and 'seem to be able' to convert it to hex-number
but now just dont konw how to do
(say, i got a 'String.nki' loaded in kontakt)
i simply need that hairpin dynamic ..
and ...better if whammy bar effect is possible through custom rules
by the way, is it possible to assign the channel no. except using shift-I?
Notion doesnt offer me to choose channel no. when i adding a new track

Re: how to change volume of a long-held note?
Here's a generic Kontakt rule set that will control only the dynamics. You'll use the Instrument based rule technight; it's called KNTK.
