Multi-file midi export

Postby Chandlerhimself » Tue Feb 04, 2014 1:25 pm

Is there an easy way to export each track as a separate midi file? I found that when I exported one song all the tracks using the same VST came out as one track in midi which is a problem. Is there a way to make sure they're separate? If not could this feature be added later?

Is there any way to have each channel come out as it's own midi track when doing midi export?

Are you sending multiple staves to a VSTi on a hidden staff?

This should be into the preferences of the Import Software...

DP, LogicPro, Reaper an other, asked the format you want when importing

So hope to help !

Yes that's basically how I'm doing it. Is there some sort of way to get separate midi tracks for each staff? The only way I've found is by erasing every staff except one and then exporting that. Then I have to rinse and repeat for every track, which is annoying.

You could just setup your score with each staff having it's own VSTi. No need to do the multi out route.

That's what I figured, but I was hoping there was a better way. Opening separate instances of the same program wastes RAM, so I was hoping there was a work around.

Each instance shares the same code, so the RAM hit is minimal.
