Placing chords on a measure

There must be something very simple and obvious but I cannot see it - how can I insert a chord (letter type, that sits above stave) on a particular beat? All I can do is add one at the beginning of a bar, not on a different measure. Similarly I would like to be able to move text horizontally, not just vertically. Ideas please!

OK, so no response here! Looking at the tutorial videos so far it looks as if the only way to do this is by having a note or slash for every beat of the bar, otherwise the chord can only be at the start. Not very elegant if this is true. Will e mail support and hopefully get an answer. I need to be able to do simple chord sheets….!

Hi Scardanelli,

I usually wait at least 24 hours before I start complaining to other users that they don't respond to my questions, but that's just me...

Anyway: In voice 2, enter shorter rests to suit your purpose. Attach your guitar chord to a rest of your choice. Then hide all the rests in voice 2. The chord symbol will still be shown.

Best wishes,
