hello,
does anyone know how to embed a (free) compressor effect which reduces loud sounds and enhances the silent sounds while playing?
i work on brass orchestra arrangements with lot of different dynamics.
surley, solution would be to chang pp parts into mp or ff parts into mf but:
the pp and ff parts are very different articulated, and i need them for notation purposes exactly in that way (so the "live" musicians know who too play), but i think the loudness differences are too big in notion. especially the result i see in the visualized wave file when i export.
thanks

Re: Compressor effect
Look at www.kvraudio.com for free vst plugins.
You can always show a dynamic in the score that differs from a playback one by clicking on the sign and inserting *+1* or *-1* aside it.
Aside this, you're right: at different levels the sound of N3 samples cany vary a lot in character.
In playing tecniques too (eg. staccato sounds more like a marcato).
Hope it helps
