Notion 4 Won't Playback

Postby xb2003 » Fri Dec 13, 2013 12:25 pm

I just got Notion 4 the other day, switch over from Finale Print Music. So much better. I have been working with the program for a little while, and all of the sudden the program won't play my composition back to me. I really have no idea what I did. I probably hit some shortcut I didn't know about or something.

When i click on notes, or go to enter new ones in, it still makes the sound. It just simply won't play back. The line showing you where its playing doesn't move. It just sits there.

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit, i5 Processor 8GB Ram. Audio is a Presonus AudioBox 22VSL into a pair of JBL monitors.

Thanks,
Jesse

You need to reload the Sounds folder and close and reopen the program. To do this, go to:

File>Preferences>Audio>Choose Sounds Folder

Click Choose and Navigate to:

Program Files>Notion 4>Sounds

Click Okay and wait for the samples to reload.

If this does not solve the problem, I would suggest contacting technical support at:

Thanks for the reply, but I got it working in the time it took for my post to get approved. I think I did something like that, I don't remember now. If it ever happens again, Ill know what to try.

Thanks again,
Jesse
