Record in Rewire Mode

Does anyone know if it is possible to record into Notion while in rewire mode? I currently use Notion 3 in rewire mode with Reaper as the host. When I hit the record button in Notion the screen seems to go into record mode, but then Notion just sits there. The scrolling bar doesn’t move, no metronome, nothing. Is this a bug, or is this a limitation of rewire?

I suppose I could open the project in Notion in standard mode (as opposed to rewire mode) to make these recordings, but it would make it easier to make the recording and to hear the results in the context of other tracks that I use in my DAW.

Any thoughts?

Same thing with Notion and Ableton Live as the host.

I don't know if it's related, but when hitting play in Notion, the cursor on Live's side really obey what Notion does, so there seems to be some kind of a problem. I filed a bug report on this.

I'm not sure if this is related to recording while in rewire mode or not... I had a similar issue with Notion and Reaper when trying to use transportation and play/pause controls, but I was able to fix the issue with a few settings adjustments in the host DAW. Although, this only really fixed transportation issues from Reaper's side; I still have glitches when controlling playback from Notion.

However, we digress. Does anyone know of any issues with rewire (or fixes) in regards to recording MIDI?

One more bump. I've submitted this as a bug report; have any of the developers replicated the issue and/or have a solution/work around?
