Adjust end of staff system in score

Sometimes it makes for better reading if the staff system does not fill the whole width of the page. Is there a way to move the right edge of a staff system to some point to the left, so that the staff system is shorter, leaving white space to the right?

You will need to adjust and tweak the layout settings of the score that you are working on. You can do that by going to:

Score>Full Score Options>Layout
and
Score>Full Score Options>More

There are options in that dialogue that will allow you to change the page formatting of your scores.

Also, after you have set the number of measures per system, adjusted your font sizes, and spacing, there is another option that you can work with to eliminate a large single bar at the end of your score. The feature is called "Link to Next Measure". To perform this action, double-click on the last measure of your score. The right-click anywhere on the score. In the right-click menu, navigate to "Measure (XX)" and select Link to Next Measure.

These settings take a little bit of trial and error, but by experimenting with these solutions, you should be able to get the formatting that you desire.

It would be handy to have an "Apply" button in that dialog box, to see changes without having to close it (and re-open).

What I had in mind, was actually adjusting the width individually for each staff system - I have a series of incipits, one on each line, that do not have the same length, and that would be easier to read if they get individual treatment.
