Hi
different drumsets (basic, GM, standard) can be found in the directory
notion4/support/drumsets. What are these files for? How can I use them.
Any help or hint is greatly appreciated.

These are actually just rules that control the pitch assignments for import and export of Drum Sets.

thank you for your answer.
But, how can I select the respective drumset for import and export?
I already checked the import and export dialogues, but with no success.

Can you provide me with more information? What are you trying to do, exactly?

The files in the drumset directory look like drum maps used for
conversion of e.g. GM drums to notion4 notation and/or vice versa. I would like
to import a GM drum file and get the correct notation of the drums in notion. 4.

Using "Import..." in the File drop down will allow you to import the GM drum files. Whether they import correctly is another issue. You may have to do some editing in the files after the import to get them to respond properly in Notion.
Or, another solution is to set the MIDI output of your drum files to match the notation in Notion before you do an export. You can batch process the note names in the piano roll of a DAW to reset the locations of say, the Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat, Cymbals, or more to line up with the note name values in Notion.
This is certainly a work around, but it will work more easily coming from that direction.

Thank you very much for your answer.
I prefer the last solution converting the midi data prior to exporting.

So how do I use these rules?
If I have a GM-drum track on midi, how do I use these rules, how do they control the pitch assignments when I import the midi file?
