Orchestral percussion setup VE...

Hello all...
I'm wondering the right way to setup Percussion !

Using VE,
I would like to have separated instruments in their own channel !

ex. :
Basse Drum on ch 3,
Tamtam (gong) on ch 4

Timpani on ch 5
for this it is clear just load Timpani Preset in a channel.

But for others ?
...there is no separated Preset for them !

Let me know please.

Best is to manually separate the channels by loading multiple percussion channels. Rename the Staffs and Channels and use the ranges to determine the transposition of the staff in Notion.

Also, users can grab the individual patches out of the patch tab in Vienna Instruments. Load the preset yourself and then save a Preset in your own Presets folder. Recall it any time. There are also new Group ID rules in the Notion 4 software that allow a user to set specific rules for individual instruments.

For percussion, these would be quick and easy transposition rules for setting pitch ranges in Notion to trigger Pitches in the Vienna Instruments software, or any other VSTi for that matter.

PS. Migot, I was asked to post this thread so that everyone can see the topic. Thanks for the question.

Thanks for the answer...

But all of those solution are very confusing for me !
...I would need picture or a step by step procedure for each solution !

The thing that I really do not understand is that you are giving us a separated «triangle» or a «B Drum» Preset and saying that the same is not possible for ex.: a TamTam or a Suspended Cymbal ??

So, you answer will make me interested !

Thanks
