NOTION Music Forum

How are instruments assigned to different sections in the mixer? I'm working on a piece and have "wwinds" which includes only an English Horn at the moment, and "winds" which includes Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Bassoon. Why is the English Horn in its own group? Can I reassign it?

The English Horn must be from a non-Notion library. I don't think you can change this, and each library seems to get classified in it's own way.

Actually, the English Horn is the only Notion Instrument. All the others are from VSL. I guessed that this was controlled by the instrument manufacturer, but wasn't sure.

Looks like VSL = Winds, Notion = WWninds, and EWQL = VST-Preset.

How's that for consistency!?
